Entry requirements

Here you'll find entry requirements for home and international students. Individual course entry requirements can also be found on each of the course pages. 

Home students

Foundation

Students must have Maths and English Language GCSEs with grade C/level 4 or above) or an acceptable equivalent (for example Functional skills level 2 and also to hold at least one level 3 qualification.

Undergraduate

Students will normally be expected to possess five GCSEs (grade C/level 4 or above) or equivalent (including English). Please consult the individual course pages for the specific level 3 requirements for each course.

Postgraduate

Students should have a 2:2 or higher in a bachelor (honours) degree (or equivalent non-UK qualifications) in a relevant subject, or an equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area.

If you are applying directly from an undergraduate degree course without experience or professional practice you must be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of your chosen subject area.

International students

International learners will need to demonstrate a certain level of proficiency in the English language. Please see our English language requirements for more information.

Please note: Applications are considered on an individual basis and other qualifications/work experience may be taken into consideration where an applicant does not meet the general qualifications requirements detailed below.
