Scholarships

Overseas fee-paying students beginning our undergraduate courses in 2024/25 and 2025/26 will receive a scholarship of £3,500 for each year of their study, which will be automatically applied.

Eligibility

Applicants who have accepted their offer, and are classified as overseas students for fee purposes, and holding an offer for an undergraduate course at Ravensbourne. 

Awarded scholarships will be applied as a fee discount, and the scholarship will be applied to each year of the course.

Our partner charity, Blueprint for All, have opened their Building Futures bursary applications for undergraduate and masters students studying a built environment course. You could receive a bursary award of £2,500 for the next year of your studies to put towards things like travel, equipment, accommodation or software!

In addition to the £2,500 bursary award, successful applicants will also be matched with a mentor from the industry based on skills they are seeking to develop. 

Create a My Blueprint for All profile to complete your application by 15th August 2024 and don’t forget to read the FAQ’s for guidance before you begin your application.

*Please note, bursary awards are for those from ethnically diverse backgrounds, aged 18-30, with a household income of £30,000 p/a or less. You must be a UK resident and studying a higher education course linked to the built environment.

The Amazon Future Engineer bursary is a national bursary programme aimed at supporting women A-level and BTEC/OCR (or Scottish equivalent) students from low-income households who wish to study computer science or related engineering courses at UK universities.

Accelerating the careers of women in Engineering

Women are still significantly underrepresented in engineering and technology in higher education. UCAS data on university application and acceptance figures for the 2020 cycle1 highlighted that women represent just 16% and 18% of accepted applications to computing and engineering degrees respectively. At the current rate of progress, parity of women on engineering degrees will not be achieved until 2085. We cannot wait that long.

Awardee benefits

These bursaries aim to help address underrepresentation and accelerate the rate of progress. They will provide successful women applicants with a financial support package worth £5,000 per year for up to four years of study to cover expenses related to attending university, including tuition fees or accommodation and living costs. 

By removing some of the financial barriers that may impact on university studies and career trajectory, recipients can remain committed to their courses and stand the best possible chance of success.

Awardees will also gain exclusive access to networking groups to meet positive role models, interact with like-minded peers, build long-term relationships, and benefit from collaboration opportunities.

The Helen Lansdown Resor Scholarship offers a $10,000 scholarship towards your education for five creative women each year.

The scholarship is open to any woman studying in a creative field with an interest in advertising and a least 12 months remaining in their course. 

In addition to the financial offering the scholarship programme includes an internship with J. Walter Thompson, one-to-one mentoring and first-look at a placement after graduation. 

Applicants will need to submit their application form, personal statement, letter of recommendation and 3 - 5 creative samples.

Created by The Scholarship Hub, with easyfundraising, the scholarship is open to any current or prospective UK student and is worth £500. This money can be used to support you in your studies. Whether you decide to use it for food, accommodation, books, travel or bills, we don't mind. It is up to you.

Am I eligible?

The scholarship is open to any UK citizen who is either a current or prospective undergraduate or postgraduate student. You must be already studying at or applying to study at a UK university.

How do I apply?

1. Create a free Funds4Uni account - or already have an active Funds4Uni account
2. Sign up at least 3 people to support you through Funds4Uni between March 1st 2021 and May 31st 2021 (see below on how to do this!)
3. Submit a short answer (200 words) to the following question:

           "How would winning a scholarship of £500 help you while you are at university?"

What is Funds4uni?

The judges will be looking to award the money to a student whose answer shows that the money will have the greatest impact on their likely academic success, their well-being, or their community.

The LNS has been set up to directly tackle the architecture profession’s lack of diversity by awarding architecture scholarships to disadvantaged young people from London’s neighbourhoods. 

The Trust offers a £10,000 per year for students studying an undergraduate degree in architecture to cover material costs and living expenses.
