Information for prospective suppliers

This page sets out information for suppliers interested in selling to Ravensbourne University. It outlines how Ravensbourne University purchases goods and services.

Ravensbourne University spends £12,000,000 (excl. VAT) annually on a diverse range of goods and services, including computer services and equipment, travel, cleaning and janitorial services, stationery and office supplies, furniture and furnishings, estates services, catering, and subject specific supplies.

Ravensbourne University has an ambitious target to grow its structure and student numbers over the next five years. This growth will influence the University’s spend profile going forward with an increase of goods and services required to support the University’s strategic plan.

Within Procurement Services we aim to support Ravensbourne’s world-class teaching and industry collaborations, by providing help to the University’s departments to make purchasing decisions that:

  • achieve value for money
  • are ethical, transparent and take sustainability issues into account
  • comply with the Procurement Act 2023
  • meet the requirements of our external funding bodies and auditors
  • support the University’s financial and ethical policies (e.g. paying the London Living Wage)
  • ensure that suppliers comply with the University’s terms and conditions.

We normally engage with suppliers via a tender, accessing national framework agreements available to us or undertaking tendering processes ourselves. We welcome suppliers of all kinds, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE).

We are a member of the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC), allowing us access to existing framework agreements for a range of goods and services developed by the LUPC or a partner consortium.  Please visit their website to learn how to become an LUPC supplier.

We do not participate in surveys or accept speculative sales calls or meetings, instead please register on our tendering portal where we advertise opportunities.

If you wish to contact us more generally about your products or services, contact the procurement team by emailing  [email protected] or visit the tender portal.
