Ravensbourne University London launches new podcast exploring relationship between industry and education

Ravensbourne University London is delighted to announce the official launch of a new industry-focused podcast, with the first episode now available to watch.
Ravensbourne on Record will unite educators and industry leaders in each episode to discuss how universities can dovetail with the creative, technology and business sectors to drive social change, innovation and growth.
Each episode is set to have a central theme with the first - hosted by Ravensbourne Vice Chancellor Andy Cook - centred on the pivotal role higher education plays as a catalyst for social mobility.

Episode one featured guest appearances from Chief Development Officer of U+I and Honorary Doctor at Ravensbourne Richard Upton, Research and Policy Manager at Sutton Trust Dr Kevin Latham and Hybrid Creative at Mother and Ravensbourne alumna Liy Grant.
Ravensbourne on Record will release new episodes every two months, with the next focussing on fixing the broken talent pipeline in the creative industries, followed by an instalment examining the skills gap in the tech sector.
Open and ongoing dialogue is a cornerstone of both Ravensbourne and the Government’s new industrial strategies. It is critical to ensuring graduates are well-poised to succeed in their chosen fields. By bringing industry and education together, this podcast serves in augmenting Ravensbourne’s strategic objectives of effecting social change at the intersection of creativity, technology and business as well as meeting both existing and future needs in those sectors.
