Ravensbourne students to show at London Fashion Week

Ravensbourne BA (Hons) Fashion students will present their collections to key members of the fashion industry and press at an official London Fashion Week runway event in June 2022.

The exclusive, ticketed Ravensbourne show will be held in central London on Saturday 11 June 2022, as part of the official London Fashion Week schedule, which will run from the Saturday until Monday 13 June.

It will see 10 students from the class of 2022 showcase their final collections at one of the most prestigious events on the global fashion calendar, complete with catwalk, photoshoots, and more. Ravensbourne is one of only two universities selected to exhibit.

Ravensbourne has a pedigree with London Fashion Week; this is the second consecutive show that our students will feature in. In September 2021, we were the only university approved by the British Fashion Council to show as an official designer.

This achievement is testament to the incredibly high standard of work our students produce, and the tireless work of the fashion department and Ravensbourne’s in-house creative studio, Creative Lab, who helped organise the show.

The 10 students were selected to show at the upcoming event by a panel of four members of the fashion industry. Each student presented three looks from their final collection to the panel, explaining their concept, inspiration, and reasoning for the designs. They also showed sketches and designs of up to three more looks.

In a taste of their futures in the fashion industry, they had to field questions from the discerning judges, who quizzed them on their work and design choices.
