Tim Verrinder

With over twenty years of experience as a studio and location director, Tim has directed a wide range of live and pre-recorded TV formats, including entertainment, music, quiz, comedy, live events, educational programming (including augmented reality, virtual sets and motion capture), reality shows, sports presentation, and chat shows for all the major UK broadcasters and corporate clients.  

From ten years as the Series Director for BBC 2’s Strictly It Takes Two, directing BBC 1’s The One Show (including live broadcasts from Glastonbury, Tim also served as the BBC 4 Presentation Director). Additionally, he has been the Series Director of BBC 2’s Proms Encore and OB director on The Last Night of the Proms. Currently, Tim is one of the directors on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. 

He has launched entire channels, directed live streaming events for red carpet international film premieres and live award ceremonies. He was even a sports presentation director at the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics in the Aquatic Centre. 

Tim is a BBC-trained director in Multi-camera Music Directing, with extensive experience in live TV. Prior to his directing career, he worked as a writer and performer in a stage, radio, and TV comedy sketch group, providing a solid grounding in scriptwriting and bringing the written word to the screen.
