Biography
Theo is an academic lecturer specialising in the integration of construction technology and architectural design.
Since 2013, Theo has taught design at several universities across London, including London Metropolitan University's School of Art, Architecture & Design, Kingston School of Art, University of East London's School of Architecture, Computing & Engineering, and Oxford Brookes University's School of Architecture.
Theo's research focuses on the relationship between designed objects and spaces and their impact on social dynamics and the natural environment. Central to this work is the development of teaching and knowledge models that bridge academic expertise and practical skills, shaped by extensive experience working closely with several influential architects and academics.
As an ARB (Architects Registration Board) registered architect, Theo has had the privilege of collaborating with and leading prominent London-based architectural practices, contributing to the design and realisation of a diverse range of award-winning projects across various scales and programmes throughout the city.
In their academic role, Theo designs and delivers teaching programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate students, covering design modules, technical modules, and dissertations. They provide comprehensive support and supervision, guiding students throughout their learning journey and assessing their performance against established outcomes. With a commitment to fostering creativity, Theo emphasises the importance of play and student empowerment in design thinking, practicing and teaching.
