Molly Gibbs

Biography

Since graduating in 2019, Molly is already impressing employers and now works as a mid-weight designer at a small studio in London. In her role, she works with big brands such as Barclays, Premier League and William Hill.

Molly was encouraged to study at Ravensbourne by her sixth form Graphic Design teacher who had also studied at the university. When she first looked around the building, she loved the open plan design as it provided the perfect setup for collaborating with other students.

When it came to the course itself, Molly enjoyed how creative the briefs were as it gave students the space to develop their own creative voice. The tutors on the course all had their own unique experiences of working in industry and Molly found this insight invaluable. She also felt the teaching style, which encouraged students to come up with their own ideas, helped enormously with her self-development.

For Molly, one of the highlights of the course was being a part of the numerous events that the course put on throughout the year. These events gave the students a chance to showcase their work and network with people from the industry, as well as with students from other courses.

Her time at Ravensbourne helped prepare Molly for industry as she was able to apply the skills she'd learnt on the course, and had the confidence to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

She secured her first role a few months before graduation and quickly progressed in her career to where she is today.
