Megan Whittle

Biography

Since graduating in 2019, Megan has secured work as an Influencer Marketing Executive at ecommerce brand, Loungeunderwear. Day-to-day she supports product launches, manages a 140-strong database of influencers, and runs campaigns across social media.

Megan chose the Fashion Promotion course at Ravensbourne because the variety of the modules on the course offered her many possible career pathways.

The course provided her with a place to work creatively and the freedom to explore which aspects of study she enjoyed the most. As her confidence grew throughout the course, she learnt to understand where her unique skills were. Her tutors encouraged her to push herself to achieve her potential and to think outside of the box.

She also had the chance to collaborate with students from other courses. The networking opportunities this provided, and the chance to learn about different creative industries, meant Ravensbourne was the perfect stepping stone to launch her career.

One highlight of Megan’s time at Ravensbourne was working on her final major project. She found working on a project from the start right through to creating the final polished product was both challenging and rewarding. Commenting on this she said, “Before Ravensbourne I would have never thought I could launch my own campaign… and host an event in London… It’s definitely something I’m really proud of.”

Megan’s advice to new students is to always say yes. She remarked, “Say yes to every opportunity, event, exhibition and seminar, no matter how big or small! You don’t realise the contacts you could meet or the doors this could open for you and your future!”
