Emily Stevens BA (Hons)

Biography

Emily completed her BA (Hons) Fashion Design at the University for the Creative Arts. Upon completion, she gained five years’ industry experience designing for a number of UK High Street brands and retailers before setting up as a freelance designer in 2011.

After her freelance work diversified into other areas, including branding and trend forecasting, Emily set up her own business [K.I.D.S] ltd which offers creative support to a large number of kidswear brands and retailers worldwide.

To date, she has helped launch over ten kidswear brands and offers seasonal creative support to several major international kidswear brands.

Emily also runs a small trend publication and blog which offers an alternative and affordable trend forecasting resource aimed at other freelance designers and smaller boutique kidswear brands.

Emily’s design and industry experience led to an invitation to teach at her old university where she discovered her passion for teaching. Emily has now been teaching for five years and shares her industry knowledge and design experience with her students.

She specialises in teaching students how to use design programmes and create and present industry-standard projects in preparation for employment.
