Dr Vivian Ching PhD, LL.M (Distinction), MPhil, MSc, BA

Biography

Dr. Vivian Ching teaches a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate business courses, with specialty in operations and project management at Ravensbourne University London.

Previous to joining Ravensbourne, Vivian was a tenured faculty member of Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Vancouver BC., Canada, the second largest undergraduate business program in Western Canada.

Vivian holds a PhD degree in Quality Management; two Master’s degrees in International Economic Law (Distinction) and Management from University of Bath (UK) and University of Warwick (UK) respectively, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Anthropology minor from the University of Virginia (USA).

Leveraging her expertise, she has held business advisory roles for leading multinationals in New York City and Hong Kong including the world’s largest book publisher, the world’s largest Health & Beauty Retail Chain and a Global Fortune 500 Telecommunication conglomerate.

Vivian is also an established artist who has held 17 exhibitions with regular features in television shows, charity events, auctions and other engagements world-wide since 2012.

In 2014, Vivian collaborated with Canon to become the first Chinese artist to showcase artwork in space, gaining mainstream media recognition in Asia, Canada and UK.

Her distinctive approach to art has received significant coverage from 80+ international media outlets over the years including Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Tatler Magazine and an exclusive feature on Cosmopolitan Magazine’s 30th Anniversary Celebratory Edition in Hong Kong.

Drawing on her unique blend of experiences, Vivian continues to works with multinational corporations to transform professional learning through the integration of the arts.

Past clients include UBS, Nomura, AIA, Siemens, Maison Perrier-Jouët to Conrad Hotels. She is also actively involved in community affairs as current Court Member of the Court of the University of Bath, Board Member at the Richmond Art Gallery and Former President of the Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown in Canada.
