Dr Markos Koumaditis

Markos  is the HR Director at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of Sommerville College.  Prior to this, Markos spent over three years leading the people strategy and HR team at the House of Commons and before that, spent over a decade at London South Bank University, becoming its first Group People Director.

Throughout his career, Markos’ focus has been on improving talent attraction and retention, leadership capability, levels of engagement and inclusion, and capability for change management and digital transformation.

Markos has a PhD in Modern European History from Kings College London, and has studied in his native Greece, as well as in Italy and the UK. He is a Fellow of CIPD, a qualified executive coach, a Freeman of the Company of HR Professionals, a graduate of the first cohort of McKinsey Senior Leadership Master Class for senior LGBT executives and a Stonewall Leadership programme alumnus.
 
Markos joined Ravensbourne as an Independent Governor and Chair of the People and Culture Committee in February 2023
