Araminta Louis

Armed with the knowledge and skills Araminta gained whilst at Ravensbourne, she secured a job after her very first interview. She now works as Junior 3D Designer at global brand and retail company, FITCH.

After completing the 3D Design Foundation course straight after her A-Levels, Araminta had already made Ravensbourne her home.

She chose to study the Interior Design Environment Architectures course as it was a good balance between both interior design and architecture and gave her the space to determine what path she wanted to take in her own career.

During her third year, she was given the chance to become a student rep and helped to organise talks from external speakers. Inviting her current employer to talk proved a great way to build that initial relationship.

Commenting on her Ravensbourne experience she said: “If I was to give one word of advice that has really helped me it is that it is not always what you know, but who you know…go to events where industry professionals will be, organise for external speakers to come. Don’t just rely on what is taught, you must teach yourself.”
