You may wish to purchase and familiarise yourself with the following key textbooks. Please note you do not need to read the whole book before you start the course.   

Varley et al (2023) Fashion Management: A Strategic Approach. Bloomsbury.  

Posner, Harriet (2024) Marketing Fashion. Portfolio Books. 

You can also read the Business of Fashion x McKinsey & Co The State of Fashion 2024 Report.  

Laptop requirements 

You must have a suitable laptop to complete your course. You will not be able to successfully complete this course using a tablet device. 

Please see our laptop requirements document to ensure you have a device that will be suitable for your studies.

During this week it is important that you attend your enrolment session to complete your in-person enrolment and become an official Ravensbourne University Student. Following this you will be able to attend induction sessions which will cover key information about studying at Ravensbourne and being a successful student. 

Your first day is:

Thursday 31 October

9.00am - 12.00pm - In-Person Enrolment & Campus Tours, room 107

1.00pm - 5.00pm - Welcome and Inductions, Walker Space

5.00pm - 7.00pm -  Diwali Event (optional), Walker Space

All activities will take place at our main campus: Ravensbourne University London, 6 Penrose Way, London, SE10 0EW 

Your teaching starts in the week commencing Monday 4 November. In your first semester you will have three teaching sessions per week from 5.30pm - 8.30pm, Monday - Friday. 

Monday, 5.30pm - 8.30pm, room 702 - R1 Building

Tuesday, 5.30pm - 8.30pm, room 702 - R1 Building

Wednesday, 5.30pm - 8.30pm, room 702 - R1 Building

Course Induction: Wednesday 6 November, 2.30pm - 4.30pm, room 702 - R1 Building. 

In addition to this you may be required to attend an English for Academic Purposes module during your first semester.

Occasionally your timetable might get updated due to a room or other change.

If you have any questions ahead of joining us, our online drop-in sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, 1.00pm - 2.00pm UK Time.
