To help you prepare for starting the course please complete these three short introductions to Linux Fundamentals

You may also find it useful to purchase and start reading the following book. We do not expect you to read the whole book prior to starting the course.

This course does not require specialist equipment other than a laptop.

During this week it is important that you attend your enrolment session to complete your in-person enrolment and become an official Ravensbourne University Student. Following this you will be able to attend induction sessions which will cover key information about studying at Ravensbourne, being a successful student and meet your tutors and fellow students.

Monday 13 January - Wednesday 15 January 

In-Person Enrolment & International Induction: 9.30am - 4.00pm. 

For international students only, you will only need to attend one day. 

Please book a time to complete your in-person enrolment here. 

Once you have completed your in-person enrolment in the morning you will be able to attend one of our International Induction sessions in the afternoon. Please plan to spend the day on campus with us.

Course Induction: date and time to be confirmed in January.

Activities will take place at our main campus: Ravensbourne University London, 6 Penrose Way, London, SE10 0EW

Your teaching starts in the week commencing Monday 20 January. In your first semester you will have three teaching sessions each week taking place between 9.30am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday.

In addition to this you may be required to attend an English for Academic Purposes module during your first semester.

Once you have completed enrolment you can find out how to check your timetable here. Occasionally your timetable might get updated due to a room or other change.

If you have any questions ahead of joining us, our online drop-in sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, 1.00pm - 2.00pm UK Time.
