Tyler Evans - Broadcasting and TV
"My name is Tyler Evans and I am a Broadcast Engineering Graduate from Ravensbourne University. I moved to London from a small town in Ireland as I was told that if you wanted a career in television, that there was nowhere better than London and Ravensbourne specifically.
I realised pretty quickly that I wanted to venture down the route of Cameras and Vision within broadcasting and in my second year at Ravensbourne I began freelancing on small jobs such as school boy rugby and non league football. From there, I used my contacts at Ravensbourne and platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn to help gain further experience in broadcasting. Today, I work as a Camera Operator, Graphics Operator, Vision Switcher and Vision Technical Assistant in both the Broadcast and Infotainment industry.
I consider myself very lucky as I am still very much at the start of my journey at 24 years old and at just over one year out of University. I have been blessed with opportunities both within the UK and overseas. I have worked on football within all 4 of the professional English football divisions, as well as international football tournaments such as the UEFA Women’s Euros, FIFA Futsal World Cup and the Asian Cup. In terms of other sports I have worked on many International Cricket Test Matches, the T20 World Cup, European Volleyball Championships, Men’s and Women’s Premiership Rugby, NFL London, International Coffee Championships, World Aquatics Championships and more."
