Concept and creative process
A sequence to reflect the immediacy of films made by the public using professional cameras. Predominantly monochrome with a hint of colour for the final title caption, I incorporated video moments such as roll bar, shash and positive and negative flashes to add pace. I viewed a lot of footage from the rushes shot by the contributors and selected the best moments. A live action shoot of the camera was used for a top layer over the found footage and all of the elements were composited on Quantel Henry at Framestore by Mike McGee.
