Concept and creative process
A crash test dummy travelled through a virtual world in this opening title for the motoring magazine show 'Top Gear'. The dummy and the car interior were made by Lion VFX Bristol and filmed live action on a blue screen stage at a video effects studio. The driver's viewpoint through the car window was an edited compilation sequence made with traditional film animation, filmed models and CGI and was composited with the crash dummy shot in the final edit.
