Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a series of shows containing sketches, songs and dance, starring Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh, Robbie Coltrane, Joanna David, Phyllida Law, Stephen Moore, Imelda Staunton, Sophie Thompson, Brian Hibbard and Eleanor McCready. The title sequence featured Emma Thompson dancing to Dave Brubeck’s ‘Unsquare Dance’, her every movement tracked and traced to produce a lively graphic line animation so that she appeared to interact with it. The dance and animation were composited in a digital edit on Quantel Harry.
