Titles for a series of programmes featuring the songs of Dusty Springfield. The name Dusty was a strong brand associated with the singer and this was exploited to the full in this 1967 title sequence introduction to her show. A right-reading and reverse-reading version of the name were combined as artwork and panned during filming on a rostrum camera beneath a sheet of patterned glass, which created the interesting animating distortions before resolving to the clean version. A track in on the ‘U’ was frame-matched live to the shot of the singer on stage.
