Concept and creative process
This is an example of the CBeebies branding designed by the Lambie-Nairn branding agency in 2002. The channel aimed at a pre-school audience and children up to 6 years old. The yellow blob branding was similar to the green blob branding of CBBC, aimed at the 6 to 12 age group, also the work of Lambie-Nairn, that had been launched in tandem in 2002. The soundtrack to CBeebies was gentle, with children's voices calling out the channel name. The whole look was deliberately meant to be compatible with, but completely different from, that of CBBC.
