‘Web' was one of the idents produced for the 1997 Spring/Summer Presentation campaign for BBC2. It was a simple idea, brilliantly executed through the medium of computer animation, showing a simulated time lapse view of a spider weaving a web. The surprise element, an important part of the '2' ethos, was achieved by the two stage collapse of the newly finished web, first briefly depicting the '2' as if created from the web silk, and finally showing its total disintegration.
