Concept and creative process
‘Harley' was an ident in the 1994 Spring/Summer campaign, created to preface programmes such as 'Top Gear'. The design of the '2' was tricky and quite a few drawings were required to get it right, in order to pay homage to the iconic 'Easy Rider' motorcycle. It was filmed as a stop-frame model animation shoot. Fitting both wheels into the '2' was physically impossible, so this was created in post-prodution with a CGI front wheel extension.
