BBC2 Diary ident (1995)

Concept and creative process

‘Diary’ was designed and created as a fresh addition to the library of BBC2 idents that appeared in the breaks between programmes. ‘Diary’ was a practical model, shot in camera on a motion controlled 35mm camera rig. The special effects team created the puppeteering of the diary pages peeling off in real time. Post-production in Flame smoothed the timing of the pages.
