Concept and creative process
‘Ski 2' was the Christmas campaign for 2000. A snowy mountain '2', set in a piercingly blue sky. This campaign was used repeatedly from 2000 up to the Winter Olympics in 2015. The skiing sting was animated stop-frame using replacement models, tilting and leaning forward and backwards as they animated over the snow. For each '2' there were as many as 20 versions. In post-production the atmosphere, cloud and sparkles were added and the animation support rigs were removed.
