Concept and creative process
Claire Goble: “I was commissioned to create a set of full frame graphics for an internal BBC Audio and Music film. There was an existing Audio & Music logo with coloured circles, so for continuity I needed to use these elements of the logo which I animated like sound waves, creating an interesting visual effect. I played around with layering and the direction of the ‘sound waves’. I kept the typography clean and simple with minimal movement, so as not to fight with the coloured circles animation. The typography was placed underneath, given a blur/glow and the circles were overlaid, so the type and circles looked integrated, rather than just pasted on top. These graphics were then edited into the film. All artwork and animation was created in Adobe After Effects and Illustrator.”
