Titles from BBC News coverage of the 2013 UK budget annoucement. Launched in 2013 as part of the total re-branding of the BBC’s national budget coverage, the Budget 2013 titles not only formed the backbone to the creative concept, but also launched the on air brand when coverage of the chancellor’s Budget speech started on BBC2.
The titles were designed to deliver a fresh and engaging BBC News branded solution to the Budget coverage. The concept of ‘Inside the budget Box’ was developed, revealing a world that bursts out of the chancellor’s budget box, taking the viewer on a journey through the areas of the chancellors speech that will affect the population on a daily basis.
