Terms & Conditions: Ravensbourne Applicant Day Photo Competition 2025
These terms and conditions apply to the 2025 Applicant Day Photo Competition at Ravensbourne University London taking place during the undergraduate applicant day on Saturday, 5 April 2025.
By entering this competition, entrants agree to the following:
1. ‘The Applicant Day Photo Competition’ ("hereinafter referred to as "the competition") is open to all applicants.
2. To enter the competition, you must post on your Instagram or Facebook account by tagging @RavensbourneUK account and using hashtag #MakeItRavensbourne before the competition deadline.
3. There are no limits to the number of posts you can submit but you will be entered into competition once.
4. Your work must be original. You must own all the rights to the work including the right to reproduce the work and you must guarantee that no part of your work infringes any third-party copyright.
5. We accept any kind of original image taken during the Applicant event, including those taken and edited on smartphones.
6. The last date for entries is 5pm on Monday, 7 April 2025. This deadline will be strictly applied and entries will not be accepted thereafter. It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure that the submission is completed by that deadline.
7. By submitting an entry to the competition, you give Ravensbourne permission for your entry to be shared on Ravensbourne social media and website, and grant Ravensbourne, its successors or assignees royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual rights to reproduce and distribute your competition entry, worldwide, in electronic format and hard copy. Your submission to this competition gives Ravensbourne the right to use your name and social media handle for the sole purpose of identifying you as the author of your entry. Ravensbourne accepts no responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason.

9. The winner will be selected randomly using a random selector tool.
10. The winners will be announced online and further confirmed by email. The selection will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The prize is a choice of a £100 gift voucher for:
I. Toca Social (4 players and refreshments), or
II. Up at the 02 (2 weekend climbs)
12. The prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. The prize is subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
13. Ravensbourne reserves the right not to accept an entry and all decisions on this will be final and not subject to appeal.
14. Ravensbourne accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you directly or indirectly, as a result of entering the competition, accepting the prize or being included in the exhibition. Ravensbourne further accepts no liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in connection with the competition.
15. Ravensbourne reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this competition, with or without prior notice for any reason. The Competition will be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Privacy notice
1. Entrant data will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation.
2. Your data will be 'processed’ for the following purposes:
• To identify you, and your entry, when necessary and as described in point 7.
• The production of statistics, you will not be identifiable through these statistics, and no decisions will be made about you as an outcome of the statistics.
• To administer the competition including to communicate and update you about the competition and your entry.
• To analyse the impact of this activity on the promotion of further and higher education.
• To track future outcomes of the competition's participants, including application to the university and in some instances into other Higher Education institutions.
3. We will keep your data for a period of five years after your last engagement with us, after which it will be deleted or anonymised.

6. By entering this competition you accept these Terms and Conditions, which are the rules of the competition. If you are under eighteen, your parent or guardian must also agree to you entering the competition based on these Terms and Conditions.
