Welcome information

To prepare for your semester one modules you should: 

• Familiarise yourself with the use of Unity and how to develop a VR or AR experience using your mobile phone.  
• Experiment with some web-based motion capture techniques  
• Start working on Python and explore the development environment 

Laptop requirements 

Please see our laptop requirements document to ensure you have a device that will be suitable for your studies.

Course equipment 

This course does not require specialist equipment other than a laptop.  

During this week it is important that you attend your enrolment session to complete your in-person enrolment and become an official Ravensbourne University Student. Following this you will be able to attend induction sessions which will cover key information about studying at Ravensbourne and being a successful student. 

Wednesday 18 September: 11.00am - 12.00pm, online (invite will be emailed to you)

Friday 20 September: 10.00am– 4.30pm, room 901

If you’re an international student, it is important that you attend in this week to complete your enrolment, get all the information you need to best prepare your for studying in the UK and meet fellow international students on your course. 

In-Person Enrolment

Thursday 12 September: 12.00pm - 12.30pm - surnames/family names A - O

Thursday 12 September: 12.30pm - 1.00pm - surnames/family names P - Z

Once you have completed your in-person enrolment you will be able to attend one of our International Induction sessions. Please plan to spend the day on campus with us.

Your teaching starts in the week commencing Monday 23 September. In your first semester you will have three teaching sessions each week taking place between 9.30am - 5.30pm.

Due to the size and set up of your course it is not possible to share your timetable information prior to your enrolment. Once you have completed enrolment you can find out how to check your timetable here  

If you have any questions ahead of joining us, our online drop-in sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, 1.00pm - 2.00pm UK Time.
