Concept and creative process
Shoestring was the name of a radio reporter and a detective, the leading character in the drama series. I wanted to suggest these two occupations in the opening titles. I shot live action footage of the actor on location and combined the sequence of his two lives through overlaid sound wave forms.
Nominated for a BAFTA Craft Award for Television Graphic Design 1980.
