Titles for a popular programme presented by Angela Lamont, exploring many different aspects of science from the human body to volcanoes, to sound and the properties of light.
The concept for the title sequence was cause and effect, or the inevitability of a chain of events once set in motion. A practical working model was constructed to transport a large clear glass marble in all manner of intriguing ways around it. Its progress was charted in a variety of short scenes, cutting from one to the next until the final action delivered the programme title in vision.
