Get Set For Summer (1981)

Concept and creative process

Animated titles for a Saturday morning children's entertainment series with celebrity interviews, live pop bands, competitions and cartoons. The title sequence was a traditional cell painted animation filmed by shooting each cell twice, thereby halving the number of cells required for each second of movement on the screen. The ‘Get Set for Summer’ Logo was used panning in close-up as a way of inserting production footage and the clouds provided a background for yet more vignetted production shots as part of the mix.
