Concept and creative process
‘Short Cuts' was part of FETV, the Further Education TV night-time strand. My idea for the title sequence was to spell out the the programme title visually and aurally in a colourful animation in the style of a film leader. I styled it in rich night time colours of deep blues and contrasting oranges and yellows, which resolved into a predominantly black and white logo. The sequence was created in a digital edit suite using genuine film leaders that had been transferred from film to digital format and coloured digitally.
