Titles for an investigative journalism programme ‘The Editors’, which examined the pressures on the press worldwide. For the title sequence, collections of the different media and formats used in news gathering were arranged in a series of hand-animated still lifes directly under the rostrum camera. The letters of the programme logo, built as a model from rows of actual metal type, were filmed and finally revealed, line by line, by means of mattes in a film optical in the laboratory.
