Concept and creative process
‘Acetate’ was a weekly series looking at all aspects of dance-music culture, reflecting the latest underground tunes and visuals and the international scene. The titles for this show tried to give a feeling of the club scene without resorting to many purely musical images, but seeking rather to give a feel for the atmosphere, through defocused abstract black and white positive and negative images of found footage and subliminal glimpses of typography, including the show title logo, fast cutting to the beat of the title track.
