Holly Freeman

Biography

Since graduating in 2019 Holly has secured a job at award-winning architecture practice, Barr Gazetas, working on projects at prime London locations such as Soho, Westminster, Mayfair and the City of London.

As a specialist design university with great links to industry and a renowned architecture department, Ravensbourne had everything that Holly was looking for.

During her course, Holly felt that she benefitted greatly from her course tutor's collective experience of working within industry and in particular working within architecture practices. This insight informed how the course was taught and helped to prepare students for life after graduation.

One of the highlights of Holly's time at Ravensbourne was the opportunity to be part of several site visits and trips abroad; she travelled to Barcelona, Madrid as well as many key sites in London with a close-knit group of friends she had made on her course.

Holly was able to build up a strong portfolio of work throughout the course, which helped secure her first architecture role just three months after she graduated.

In September, Holly is heading back to university to complete her MArch Architecture (part 2), whilst continuing to work part-time at her practice.

Commenting on her time at Ravensbourne she remarked: “The advice i'd give to future students is to just embrace everything Ravensbourne has to offer. Take advantage of the aspects it offers which other universities don’t. It is a great community to be a part of and I have made friends I know are for life. I will never forget this experience and I would love to be a part of it all over again."
